Mr. Jerry Grogg, Founder

Jerry received his auctioneer’s license in 1961 and his real estate salesman license in 1962. He worked for his father, Jay Grogg, in real estate and auctions until 1964, when he obtained a real estate broker’s license and started his own independent business. Jerry has attended professional seminars, including antique appraising and has knowledge and experience in both real estate and personal property valuations for attorneys and lending institutions, as well as for his own business purposes. Mr. Grogg has made many court appearances in regard to real estate and personal property values. Grogg being a community minded businessman was also on the board of Farmers State Bank for many years. Jerry then continued as owner and operator of various auction and real estate companies until 1998 when he sold Jerry Grogg Inc. Auctions and Real Estate to Jeff Burlingame. Jerry continued to work very actively in the business until 2020. While declining health has stopped Jerry from being involved in the day-to-day business operations. His influence, reputation and all-around jovial nature is still felt in our office.
